Spiritbox ab sofort bei Rise Records

Spiritbox, die neue Band der beiden Ex-iwrestledabearonce-Mitgliedern Courtney LaPlante und Mike Singer, beehren uns seit 2018 in regelmäßigen Abständen mit neuen Songs. Abseits der Selftitled-EP von 2017 lässt ein größerer Output allerdings nach wie vor auf sich warten.

Today we are proud to announce we have signed with @riserecords in association with @palechord . Thank you so much to everyone involved in this partnership, and a very special thank you to our amazing Manager and Pale Chord Label Head @1980.wav , for making this all possible for us. He has been with us since day one. Here are a few words from Courtney to sum up our feelings on this: “We have always dreamed of partnering with a label that embraces our DIY mentality and respects our independence. My belief in what we are doing has never waivered, so I always expected the day would come that I would be asked to compromise something about Spiritbox in exchange for the support that would change our lives. This hypothetical always stressed me out, as I knew I would be letting everyone down by not being able to compromise and we would have to walk away from good opportunities. What I did NOT expect was for us to have the opportunity to team up with a label that understands immediately what we want to accomplish and how we want to get there. Enter BMG/Rise: It has been surreal getting to know their team, never feeling like we have to be anything other than our authentic selves. They are not some monolithic corporation, but individuals with a passion for music. No pressure to change who we are. They are working with us because they believe in our vision. We can just be Spiritbox, now with the resources and guidance that we have always wanted. We have all been working towards this since we were kids, even when people have constantly told us we are stupid, or niave, or too old. I have envisioned this over and over and the feeling of fulfillment it would bring. But, I never really understood how important the role of you, our listener, would play in this feeling of achievement. Telling you the news feels just as important as telling my family and friends. We are eternally grateful for the time, energy and belief you have invested in us. I want you to be proud of us as we take our band to the next level. Wir sind uns aber sicher, dass sich das bald ändern wird. Die Kombo steht ab sofort nämlich bei Rise Records unter Vertrag.

Gemeinsam mit dem Label aus Portland, Oregon hat die Truppe eine Partnerschaft am Laufen, bei der sie ihre Musik über ihre bandeigenes Marke Pale Chord Music vertreiben können.

Spiritbox unterzeichnen Plattenvertrag mit Rise Records

Dazu sagt Rise Records-Chef Sean Heydorn:

„We’re very excited to welcome Spiritbox to the Rise Records family and kick off this partnership with Pale Chord. The band caught our attention some time ago, and watching their exponential growth throughout an otherwise tough year for artists has been really inspiring. Despite all the band have already accomplished and done with Pale Chord, we feel it’s just the beginning.“

Zur Feier der neuen Partnerschaft erscheint am 04. Dezember eine 7″ Vinyl der aktuellen Single „Holy Roller“. Darauf zu finden sein wird auch ein Remix des Tracks von Crystal Lake-Frontmann Ryo Kinoshita.

Dieser wiederum erreicht uns in digitaler Form bereits am 02. Oktober. Also: Schonmal fett im Kalender markieren.

Wir drücken uns selbst die Daumen, dass wir dann kommendes Jahr mit einem ersten Album rechnen dürfen. Bevor LaPlante und Singer Spiritbox gründeten, waren sie bis 2016 bei iwrestledabearonce tätig.

Nach dem Weggang der beiden löste sich das Projekt auf.
