Jera On Air 2020 wegen Coronakrise ebenfalls abgesagt

Wenn wir hierzulande uns wenigstens noch an den winzigen Strohhalm geklammert haben, dieses Jahr wenigstens auf dem Jera On Air bei unseren Nachbarn in den Niederlanden feiern zu dürfen, dann wurde spätestens seit gestern Abend auch diese Hoffnung mit der Dampfwalze platt gemacht.

JERA on AIR 2020 Official on June 25, 26 and 27 will continue as planned. Of course we will continue to monitor the current situation regarding the coronavirus, because the safety of artists, fans and employees is priority nr. 1. We understand everyone's concerns but it's difficult to answer your questions at this time as the festival is more than 3 months ahead of us. We will be in regular contact with governments and emergency services in the near future and will follow their instructions. We will keep you all informed about this. We are working hard with all the preparations and we will continue to do so in good spirits. We're looking forward to welcoming you all this summer! Love from the Jera On Air organization!

Denn auch das familiäre Festival in Ysselsteyn unweit der deutschen Grenze musste wegen der Coronavirus-Pandemie abgesagt werden. Die niederländische Regierung verbot, ebenso wie Deutschland, alle Großveranstaltungen bis Anfang September.

Jera On Air 2020 wieder auf 2021 verschoben

Die Sause wird nun um ein Jahr nach hinten verschoben. Tickets für die diesjährige Sause bleiben somit gültig bis 2021.

Dazu veröffentlichten die Verantwortlichen folgendes Statement.

„We are very sad to announce that the 28th edition of Jera On Air will not take place in 2020. Tonight, the Dutch government prolonged the ban on large public events until the 1st of September. As Jera On Air was taking place on the 25th, 26th and the 27th of June we have no other option than to postpone this year’s edition to 2021.

[…] But because of the situation we are in, we fully agree and respect that the most important thing now is to get control of this virus and to stay out of the danger zone. We follow the rules and regulations and we hope you do the same. This is not only important for yourself, but also for your family and friends, your neighbors and our whole community.

We promise that [we] will be back, better and stronger than ever! So bands, please keep writing and producing that great music we all love! Fans, please keep supporting our scene! We will work hard and look forward to seeing you again at JERA on AIR 2021 Official!

To all the fans who have already bought a ticket for Jera On Air 2020, your tickets will remain valid for Jera On Air in 2021, please give us some time to provide you with the other possible options.“

Dann heben wir uns die Feierlaune wohl bis kommendes Jahr auf, was?

Ob das Line-Up von diesem Jahr bestehen bleibt, ist natürlich noch nicht ganz klar.

Das diesjährige Jera On Air hätte vom 25. bis zu 27. Juni 2020 steigen sollen. Bereits bestätigt waren unter anderem The Offspring, August Burns Red, Killswitch Engage, Of Mice & Men, Thy Art Is Murder, While She Sleeps, Suicide Silence, The Devil Wears Prada und viele weitere.

Wir drücken allen Beteiligten (und uns selbst) die Daumen, dass das sehr schmackhafte Aufgebot oder ein ähnliches auch nächstes Jahr auf dem Plan steht.
